چکیده

Customary lattice methods are considered suitable for the description of the static, or low energy, nonperturbative properties of hadrons. Even though some progress has been made in studying the scattering length, form factors and the deep inelastic structure functions, the finite ultraviolet cut-off a ∼ 2GeV limits the application of classical lattice techniques mainly to the static phenomena. However, there exists an intriguing mapping, between the description of a high energy scattering and the one dimensional Heisenberg chain, which offers a possibility to use the methods of statistical physics to study the genuine high energy scattering. The typical high energy scattering is described by the Regge amplitude

High energy QCD as a completely integrable model

We show that the one-dimensional lattice model proposed by Lipatov to describe the high energy scattering of hadrons in multicolor QCD is completely integrable. We identify this model as the XXX Heisenberg chain of noncompact spin s = 0 and find the conservation laws of the model. A generalized Bethe ansatz is developed for the diagonalization of the hamiltonian and for the calculation of hadro...

DIRECT SOLUTION OF THE HARD POMERON PROBLEM FOR ARBITRARY CONFORMAL WEIGHT J. WOSIEK and R. A. JANIK

Quantitative description of the reggeization of QCD still remains a challenge for the Leading Logarithmic scheme and its extensions . In the first approximation the problem separates into sectors with fixed number n of the reggeized gluons propagating in the t channel. The lowest nontrivial case, n = 2, was solved in the classical papers by Balitskii, Kuraev, Fadin and Lipatov 3 resulting in th...

Hard to soft pomeron transition in small-x deep inelastic scattering data using optimal renormalization.

We show that it is possible to describe the effective Pomeron intercept, determined from the HERA deep inelastic scattering data at small values of Bjorken x, by using next-to-leading order Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov evolution together with collinear improvements. To obtain a good description over the whole range of Q(2), we use a non-Abelian physical renormalization scheme with the Brodsky-...

The s-channel approach to Lipatov’s pomeron and hadronic cross sections

We derive a generalized Balitskii-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov equation, which applies directly to the perturbative QCD component of total cross section. With the gluon correlation radius Rc ∼ 0.4fm we reproduce the empirical rate of growth of the hadron-nucleon total cross sections. The simultaneous estimate of the triple-pomeron coupling also agrees with the experiment. To be published in: JETP Lette...

Conformal Blocks in the Qcd Pomeron Formalism

The conformal invariance properties of the QCD Pomeron in the transverse plane allow us to give an explicit analytical expression for the conformal eigenvectors in the mixed representation in terms of two conformal blocks, each block being the product of an holomor-phic times an antiholomorphic function. This property is used to give an exact expression for various functions of interest, the Po...
